According to the Yichang Municipal Bureau of Agriculture on May 3, there are 4,300 enterprises and cooperatives of leisure agriculture in Yichang, including 3,700 agritainments, 360 leisure farms, 190 agricultural tourism park and 50 agricultural technology demonstration parks, creating jobs for 45,000 people with more than 20,000 annual salaries each on average. Moreover, 16 million tourists are received every year, making profits of 4 billion Yuan.

　　There are two national demonstration counties (districts) of leisure agriculture and rural tourism, one national demonstration site of leisure agriculture, one most beautiful leisure village of China, nine provincial demonstration sites of leisure agriculture, 42 municipal demonstration sites of leisure agriculture and ten national demonstration villages and towns based on the One Village and One Product policy. The whole industry of leisure agriculture in Yichang flourishes with favorable momentum of large coverage, high quality, distinctive features and rapid development, making it a new form and highlight of economic growth of agriculture in rural areas.
