100Mbps fiber broadband reaches every household, 4K high-definition TV enters every family, and about 15 households open 100Mps fiber broadband each day... With the rapid promotion of the first batch of telecommunications service pilot projects in Yichang, China Mobile Group Yichang Company is striving to complete the “last kilometer” broadband construction in the rural area.

　　"It costs only 240 yuan for one year, and less than one yuan per day." said Zhang Donghua, a villager from the third group, Qingyan, Gaojiayan, Changyang in the morning of May 15th when he was cheerfully enjoying the newly opened 20 Mbps fiber broadband. On the same day, Zhao Youqin and Huang Li, villagers of the same group also opened Yichang mobile fiber broadband. They said, "The internet speeds have increased, but its cost is reduced, so our villagers are rushing to open it."

　　Previously, the broadband is 2Mbps in most households of Qingyan Village. Since the village was included in the telecommunications all-around pilot service, its broadband standards "upgrade" to at least 20 Mbps, and some households are up to 100 Mbps. Therefore, those popular applications in city, like watching high-definition network television, video chatting with relatives in distance, visiting Taobao and playing internet games, become popular among these villagers in remote areas.

　　On October 14th 2016, Yichang Municipal Government and China Mobile Group Hubei Company signed an agreement to officially launch the first batch of telecommunications all-around pilot service project in Yichang, which accordingly will be organized and supplemented by the China Mobile Group Yichang Company. In this project, China Mobile Group Yichang Company will invest a total of 125 million yuan, build 957 km pole line, over 5400 km optical cable and 64000 cable broadband ports for 417 targeted villages and some ordinary villages, covering 94000 households.

　　In recent years, China Mobile Group Yichang Company has built 480000 cable broadband ports, covering more than 1 million households. Since undertaking telecommunications all-around pilot service project, China Mobile Group Yichang Company has invested 24 million yuan, accounting for 30% of the total investment, completing the construction for 230 ordinary villages, 12,000 ports and accessing broadband to 826 households.

　　Lin Zhiguo, the deputy director of Yichang Municipal Electronic Information Industry Office said, Yichang will continue to increase investment in communication infrastructure, speed up 4G network construction, extend optical fiber to ordinary villages, strive to make fiber broadband reach every household within three years so that all the rural residents can enjoy the same convenient and efficient public service as urban residents.
