On June 3rd, Yuan’an Hengding Drifting Scenic Spot officially opens with a vertical drop of 178 meters (584 feet). Organized by Yichang Xinfenghui Travel Agency, over one thousand tourists, travel agencies and representatives of social media from Wuhan, Yichang, Xiangyang, Jinzhou and other places have gathered here and experienced the drift which has the biggest vertical drop in Central China.

　　In the morning, the first drifting team starts in batches at the starting point near Hengyanping, floating downstream through 8 sharp turns and 28 rapids. When passing through the rapid with the biggest vertical dropof12 meters, tourists are screaming and laughing as the boat soaring through the air and falling down to water. The whole journey lasts 2 hours and they all have great fun.

　　According to Huang Xuehui, leading official of the scenic spot and also general manager of Yichang Xinfenghui Travel Agency, this brand-new drifting product has already been introduced by many travel agencies in Yichang and those neighboring major cities, and it is to be combined with other scenic spots like Gao’anlou, Grand West River Canyon and Jinjiawan Eco-Camping Park to form the first outdoor “one day tour” route in Yuan’an.(Reporter: Wang Ying; Correspondent: Zhang Wei, Wang Zheng)
