The preparatory work on-site meeting of the Eighth Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival opening ceremony was held in Yiling district in the morning of 9th, June, and the implementation plan of the opening ceremony was discussed and preparatory work was reported by the Municipal Tourism Committee, Yiling district government, Embracing Three Gorges Dam Tourism Group and other departments. Wang Guobin, a member of Municipal Standing Committee and publicity minister, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, and vice mayor Zhou Zhengying hosted the meeting.

　　 After listening to the implementation plan and the report on the preparatory work in the opening ceremony, Wang Guobin required that, firstly, to make clear the overall requirements, which means to hold a safe, ordered and innovative festival , highlight the theme, and expand the impact"; secondly, to grasp the key issues, which means to work hard on organization, security, stability, publicity and dissemination of the opening ceremony on-site activities and environmental optimization work of urban and related areas. Thirdly, to implement the job carefully, this refers to implement the work of overall coordination, the work between departments and units, ensuring a safe and smooth opening ceremony.

　　 The opening ceremony of the Eighth Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival will be held in Bawang Village of Three Gorges Tribe on 4th, July. The opening ceremony and the gala will try to use large-scale landscape style ceremonies and scenes to present performances. Performance project will be conducted by The Family of Stars Culture Media Co. Ltd, directed by Wei Qing, serving as general director, who is the famous director of CCTV large variety show , and chaired by Jiang Changjian, who is the CCTV commentator and the host of Super Brain. The show will fully present the stories of Leizu, Qu Yuan, Wang Zhaojun, Li Bai, Du Fu and other historical celebrities, which will be performed by famous host Chen Duo and other famous people, based on Bachu culture in Yichang and the real scene of Three Gorges Tribe.
