On July 4, the Eighth China Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival, hosted by Zhang Jiasheng, vice mayor and deputy secretary of Municipal Party Committee, was inaugurated in Tribe of the Three Gorges. Wang Wei, deputy director of the Three Gorges Department of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the Tourism Festival. Related important officials gave welcome speeches, including Du Jiang, deputy director of the National Tourism Administration, and Yang Tianyi, vice chairman of Chongqing Municipal People's Political Consultative and Tong Daochi, vice governor of Hubei Province. Zhang Cheng, deputy general manager of Three Gorges Group, attended the opening ceremony.

　　Relying on the key scenic spots of new Three Gorges. Culture tourism and national 5A-level scenic area Tribe of the Three Gorges, the large scale brilliant performance “Landscape in Three Gorges” was put on at the opening ceremony. The show, which was on the air on a one- kilometer- long stage depicted the vivid interpretation of the real scenery. More than one thousand performers worked together for the show and 25 meter-long pure copper bar people trombone resounded through the sky. Fourteen live-broadcasting platforms brought a wonderful and brilliant shocking visual feast to the audience all over the world via Internet and cell-phones.

　　 Du Jiang highly praised that the cities from Hubei, Chongqing along the Yangtze River have made great achievements in building Three Gorges tourism brand, deepening regional cooperation, enriching product content, strengthening the joint promotion and improving service quality, which contributes to Three Gorges regional economic and social development, ecological civilization construction and people's well-being. Hopefully, all participants in this ceremony would make use of the platform to carry out practical exchange with each other, deepen cooperation areas, strengthen cooperation and share development opportunities. He said that the National Tourism Administration will support the tourism development of Hubei and Chongqing, and support the construction of the Three Gorges international tourism as before.

　　On behalf of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, Yang Tianyi showed his congratulations on the Tourism Festival. He said that the prosperity of tourism along Yangtze River cannot be achieved without the cooperation between Hubei Province and Chongqing City in the field of tourism resources development and utilization, management and protection, marketing and etc. Chongqing is willing to focus on green development to jointly create the Three Gorges eco-tourism, further promote the Yangtze River Three Gorges tourism, and make Three Gorges a world-renowned tourist destination together with Hubei Province. A new tourism chapter of "the world's Yangtze, Magnificent Three Gorges” is bound to be there due to the cooperation between Hubei Province and Chongqing City.

　　Tong Daochi, on behalf of the provincial Party committee and provincial government, expressed his welcome and appreciations to all the leaders and guests. He said, as a tourism festivals brand embraced by both Hubei Province and Chongqing city, the Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival has become a vital platform and bond for strengthening cooperation and coordinated development in the Three Gorges region. At present, Hubei Province, together with Chongqing City and other cities along the Three Gorges, are fostering cooperation of cultivating tourism brands, coordinating infrastructure construction, carrying out foreign tourism promotion, strengthening the tourism market supervision and etc. We believe that we will make Yangtze River tourism a national model of regional cooperation through the efforts of all parties.

　　 Before the opening ceremony, Xie Fang, Ma Shuchao, Wang Guoxin, Zhang Lianwen, Ping Yuan and other hundred artists jointly issued an announcement "Protecting Yangtze River and loving Three Gorges to refresh our mother river " to appeal to people to “start from you, start from me and start from everyone "to protect our mother river. At the same time, the municipal government held an investment meeting at the tourism festival. They invited Zhu Zhihua, chairman of Shenzhen Haihao Investment Co., Ltd and other 35 well-known entrepreneurs to invest in Yichang. As a result, 30 projects have been signed with a total investment of 20.118 billion yuan(RMB).
