On August 23, a car accident occurred in the Changyang-County Gaojiayan section of G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, injuring two people, with one of them seriously wounded. The Air Medical Rescue of the Yichang Central Hospital arrived at the spot by helicopter and took the injured to the hospital immediately. It is learned that this is the first air rescue in the mountain highway nationwide.

　　The accident happened more than 60 kilometers away from the urban area, so the injured patients were in danger of losing their lives. At 9:10 am, on hearing the call of emergency rescue, the Air medical Rescue of the Yichang Central Hospital flew to the spot by helicopter, and landed in Gaojiayan in 10 minutes. The medical team carried the injured onto the helicopter and sent them to the Central Hospital after the emergent treatment. The whole process of air rescue took only 29 minutes.
