During the National Day Holiday, the intelligent guide, after two months’ trial run, was formally adopted to serve tourists at the Three Gorges Dam scenic spot. It was a palm-sized device with earphones and a lanyard, covering the introduction of such core spots as Tanziling, five level two-way ship lock, 185 Viewing Platform and Interception Memorial Garden. When tourists passed by, the intelligent guide would introduce the origin, background and culture of the spot, which could be replayed to meet the needs of different people.
The staff said that the intelligent guide had overcome the problem of service incapacity and reduced noise pollution, which helped enhance the service quality and promoted the construction of Smart Tourism, Civilized Tourism and Benchmark Tourism at the Three Gorges Dam scenic spot.
