Weite Electronics helps build Padma Bridge in Bangladesh
2017-10-24 14:19:52

Recently, the first piece of box girder of the Padma Bridge in Bangladesh has been successfully erected. The bridge, as a critical part of One Belt, One Road Initiative program, is the biggest international bridge project Chinese enterprises have ever bid for so far and also the largest infrastructure project in Bangladesh.

China Railway Bridge Bureau has put into the construction of the bridge a mass of large lifting equipment, including such floating cranes as the Marine Rainbow, the Bridge No.10 and the Tian Yi, of which the load lifting limiters and moment limiters were all produced by Weite Electronics. The company has sent its technical service engineers to the scene for the maintenance and debugging of the safety protection devices, to ensure the safe operation of those lifting equipment.

It is learned that the bridge is one of the important channels connecting China and the Trans-Asia Railway in Southeast Asia, and is called as a dream bridge by the local people. Once it is completed, it will bring an end to the ferry communication between the two sides of the river. According to the local estimation, the project will increase the GDP of the country by 1.2%.(Correspondent: Gao tian)
