On October 23th, the reporter learned from the Railway Construction Office of Yichang Development and Reform Commission that, after nearly 6- year- construction, the Ziyun Railway will go into operation at the end of November.

　　It is reported that Ziyun Railway started its construction on December 24th, 2011. At present, the railway is working on its road pressure test.

　　It is known that Ziyun local railway project is divided into two sections: Ziyun section and Ziya section. Among them, Ziyun Railway is located in Zhijiang and Xiaoting Development Zone with a length of 17.34km, which starts the tracks from southern Zhijiang Railway Station and then branches out, alongside the Jiao-Liu Railway for about 2 km and shifts westward and crosses the Jiao-Zhi Railway, through Anfusi Town, Baiyang Town, Xiaoting Development Zone and finally reaches Yunchi Harbor in Xiaoting Development Zone. This line has established 3 stations: Zhijiang, Shawan and Yunchi, while Zhijiang is a junction station; Shawan a regional industrial station; and Yunchi a rail-water combined transport station. Ziyao Railway is located in Zhijiang territory, with a total length of 11.16 km, which joins the southern Zhijiang Railway Station and turns eastward, through Anfusi Town, Dongshi Town and finally Yaojiagang Industrial Park. And this line has 2 stations: Zhijiang and Yaojiagang.

　　According to the relevant person in charge, after the completion of the railway, Yichang and Zhijiang industrial base can be linked to create fine transportation conditions for industrial bases. (Reporter: Chen Xi)
