It is learned from Yichang Sports Bureau that the 2nd Yichang International Marathon will start at 7:30 on November 5th from the Peace Park. 20,000 runners from far and near are to compete in four races within the main city, namely, a full marathon, a half marathon, a healthy running race (10 km) and a mini marathon, while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Three Gorges crossed by two bridges. At present, the relevant volunteer services have all been arranged.

　　The reporter has learned from the tournament organizing committee that the route of the tournament remains the same as that of the 1st one, which runs through Wujiagang District, Xiling District and Dianjunqu District, with the mini marathon and the healthy marathon finishing at Wangjiahe Park while the other two at Binjiang Park.

　　It is reported that the marathon registration work ended on September 24th. Among the 20,000 registered participants, more than 12,000 are from outside Yichang. To attract more excellent domestic athletes to participate, the committee has added an award of Full Marathon for Chinese and awards for competing teams.

　　The organizers of the race has also planned several warm-up activities, such as the official marathon training camp, the election of an image ambassador for the tournament, the collection of excellent photography and poetry works related to the race, and a public welfare activity in the name of “Little pioneers in environmental protection”.
