Therefore, talents introduction is the first step for the building of central city of regional innovation and entrepreneurship in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River. On October 19th, in response to the document issued by Yichang government titled An Overview of Further Implementation of Talents Preferential Development in Building the Central City of Regional Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Middle and Lower Reaches of Yangtze River, thirty-five enterprises and public institutions together with fourteen public personnel service agencies in the counties and cities grouped to Wuhan under the organization of Municipal Personnel Office and Human Resources and Social Security Bureau in Yichang. They conducted recruitment at the stadium of Wuhan University Engineering Division, attracting more than four thousand students across the country to consult.
For just half a day, they had received 1519 resumes, among which 656 were from undergraduates, 792 from postgraduates and 71 from doctoral students., had reached employment intentions with 393 students among which postgraduates and doctoral students held 173 and 30 separately, and had signed up 506 students for internship and training

At 8:30 on the morning of October 29th, when the door of the stadium of Wuhan University Engineering Division slowly opened, students who had already waited here for a long time entered into the stadium in long queues orderly.
Sun Li, a student from Wuhan University of Technology, is a native-born citizen in Yichang who will graduate this year. “I have been long eager to work in my hometown. Here comes the chance, quite out of the blue though!” He told the reporter that he began to prepare for the recruitment over a week ago, and finally he decided on 710th Research Institute of CSIC. “Those present here this time are famous corporations with excellent platforms. Besides, Yichang itself is a city with great development potential, which is the reason why my family members all expect to return to Yichang to work.”
According to the data, students from Yichang accounted for 70% of the total number of people who had already signed contracts and the rest were students from cities like Xiaogan, Xiangyang, Xianning and Huanggang and other provinces such as Henan, Hunan, Shandong and Shanxi. Wang Zhengrong, member of party committee of Human Resource and Social Security Bureau and also its deputy director, told the reporter that this had fully testified what the city Yichang means to its people. A series of achievements such as being the National Civilized City and Sub-center City in Hubei made Yichang a charming city and the preferred choice for students to return here and start up business after graduation.
Applicants waited in long queues in front of the recruiting stand of Zhongnan Equipment CO., LTD of CSIC. Li Lei, personnel officer of the company, told the reporter that they wanted to recruit technical talented people concerning environmental chemistry this time. “Our company in Yidu develops quickly in terms of new energy. We have a battery pack production line with the annual output value goal of 0.2 billion. What’s more, there is an environmental project using oil sludge treatment, which entails great potential. But the company still lacks high-end technical talents, so we plan to recruit for three or four posts so as to replenish fresh blood.”
High-end Talents, Mostly from 985 and 211 Universities, Gather at High-tech Industries
Hubei Xingfa Chemical Group Co., LTD planed to recruit about 300 people, among which 30 were post-graduates and more than 260 are undergraduates. Wang Guilin, director of Human Resources of the group, told the reporter that the expanded capacity called for greater demand for talents as the new project of the enterprise was now in operation.
What the correspondent saw on the scene was that most of applicants were students from 985 and 211 universities such as Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Central China Normal University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan University of Technology, etc.
“During the course of talent introduction, the number of postgraduates and doctoral students who have achieved employment intentions with employment units amounts to 203. It accounts for over 50% of the overall talent introduction. The aggregation effect that the development of high-tech industries has on high-end talents begins to show, and it will in turn boost the industrial development.” Wang Zhengrong said Yichang government would further implement public suggestions with flexible mechanism, talent aggregation and industries cultivation. Furthermore, they will promote transformation and upgrading of industries comprehensively using the power of the market so as to attract more talents.
During the symposium, Human Resources and Social Security Bureau organized the project promotion meeting of the training practice.
