With the theme of “Choosing Hubei žLoving Yichang”, the first on-campus job fair was held in Three Gorges Electric Power Vocational College on the afternoon of Oct. 27. The Employment Bureau of Yichang organized 22professional counterparts’ enterprises offering 1500 jobs falling into 12 specialties which attracted about one thousand graduating students. At the recruitment site, there were not only well-known enterprises in Yichang, such as Angel Yeast Co. Ltd, International Trade Building, CSG Silicon Material Ltd, Xingfa Chemical Group, but also other enterprises with professional counterparts like An’neng Thermoelectric Group Co. Ltd, East Sunshine Electric Power Company, and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. During job fair, 47 students reached a preliminary employment intention with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, 35with CSG Silicon Material Ltd, 16 people East Sunshine Electric Power Company.

　　Students who attended the job fair expressed their willingness of working in Yichang or around for Yichang’s rapid development, less stressful life compared with other places and distance advantage to their hometowns Seeing a lot of hometown enterprises come for recruiting, these job seekers are more confident in finding their jobs in Yichang.

　　This year, Yichang municipal government has actively carried out the provincial government plan of “Choosing Hubei” receiving college and university students for internship training and employment so as to build a talent aggregation city. As planned, more than 200 thousand college students will have internship training and more than 150 thousand graduates will be employed within 5 years aiming at building Yichang into an open, inclusive, creative, elite gathered place of employment. From October, 15 of Yichang’s public employment service agencies will organize top enterprises of Yichang to hold job fairs in China Three Gorges University, Three Gorges Vocational Technical College, Three Gorges Tourism Vocational and Technical College and other colleges and universities, to help more graduatesrealize their dreams of working in Yichang.(Correspondent Lin Hua)
