In the near future, traveling or going to work on the hydroplane will come into reality. Information from Hubei Tourist Committee shows that, at the China VAST Industrial Urban Development Company Limited(VASTIUD) signing ceremony for contracts of investment as well as China Hydroplane Tourist Summit held in Wuhan, Hubei with Wuhan as its center, is going to be built into the first hydroplane tourist model province in China with hydro portsand navigation tourist towns scattered around Wuhan city cluster, western Hubei eco-cultural tourism circle, Yangtze River EconomicZone as well as Hanjiang eco-economic zone.

　　At the signing ceremony, VASTIUD signed contracts with Wuhan Economy and Technology Development Zone (WHETDZ) on the construction of hydroplane headquarter operation base in central China by VASTIUD with an investment of 9.3 billion yuan. They also signed the VASTIUD hydroplane navigation tourist town project with six prefectures and counties like Yidu, Honghu, Shiyan, andZaoyang.

　　Hydroplane navigation tourist town is a new tourism functional area which takes hydroplane as the navigation tools and tourist towns as the departure place or destination. Head of related department in VASTIUD said that hydroplanes are free from the conditions of road, and able to make a departure or landing as long as lakes or lawns are provided, which helps to diversify the choices of sites and projects of the construction of tourist towns. For economically disadvantaged places with rich natural resources and beautiful sceneries, the construction of hydroplanes and tourist town can offer a new way for them to transform the economic development mode.
