Cao Buhu town in Dangyang, Wang Jiafan town in Yidu, Mingfeng town in Yuanan, and Fairy town in Zhijiang won the title of Provincial Forest Town. Lingbao village in Wujiagang District, Heihushan village in Xiling District, and other 75 villages won the title of Provincial Greening Demonstration Towns and Villages.

　　It is said that the towns and villages with the title of “Forest Town of Hubei Province” and “Green Demonstration Village of Hubei Province” must meet the strict regulations of the construction standards of forest towns in Hubei province (Trial) and the construction standards of green demonstration village in Hubei Province (Trial), of which “Forest Town of Hubei Province ” should meet the standards of “organizational leadership”, “forest ecological construction”, and “forest ecological protection”, consisting of 3 major term and 15 minor term standards, including: “good publicity, high level of civilization, guarantee the establishment of forest towns known to more than 90 percent with the approval rate of more than 80 percent”; “earnestly organizing the national obligatory tree planting activities and enriching its forms, building the registration card system of obligatory tree planting, and the duty rate of the national obligatory tree planting above 85 percent”, etc. (Journalist Huang Yanqiao)
