The national commendation conference on national spiritual civilization construction was held in Beijing on Nov. 7th. Zhou Ji, secretary of municipal party committee, attended the conference on behalf of Yichang and accepted the award. Yichang was honored the “National Civilized City” again, which was the third time since 2011. Yidu city won the title of “National Civilized City” for the first time. Up to now, there are four “National Civilized City” in Hubei province and two of them are in Yichang.

　　The Guan Miaoshan village in Wenan town in Zhijiang City, Wan Gusi village in Guizhou town in Zigui county, and Yaopai village in Chang Leping town in Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County won the title of the fifth “National Civilized Village” at the commendation conference; Yichang State Taxation Bureau, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Yichang Three Gorges Branch of Agricultural Bank of China, the Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban- Rural Development, People’s Procuratorof Dangyang city, Local Taxation Bureau of Changyang Tujia Autonomous County, Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Area, Yichang Municipal Transportation Bureau, Yichang Municipal Water Conservancy and Hydropower Bureau, and Yichang central branch company of Taiping General Insurance co. LTD won the title of the fifth “National Civilized Unit”; Yichang experimental primary school was awarded title of the first “National Civilized Primary School”; Yichang Civilization Office obtained title of “Advanced Unit of National Juveniles Ideological and Moral Education”; Luo Guanzhang, the former deputy director of the NPC Standing Committee of Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, Li Guangjia, and the retired cadre of Yichang DPF, and Liu Faying, the vice president of Huaping primary school of Changyang Tujia Autonomous County won the nomination prize of the 6th National Moral Model.
