The Fourth Skill Champion Contest & the Ninth Tour Guide Competition of Yichang completed on November 15th. The event was jointly organized by Yichang Tourism Commission, Yichang Federation of Trade Unions and Yichang Human Resources and Social Development Bureau. After fierce competition, Gao Qing and Li Yu-ao from the Yangtze River Sightseeing International Travel Agency, and Xiang Yizhou from Shunda International Travel Agency won the top three respectively.

　　The participants of the contest were selected from nearly 4000 tour guides by the local travel agencies, scenic spots, tour guide associations and tourism institutions of the city by way of recommendation and qualifying matches. And the competition consists of 4 parts: image, guide interpretation, talent show and knowledge quiz. All the competitors were fully prepared and demonstrated the good images and spirit of the whole tour guide team.

　　According to the organizers, the contest is a grand image display of the tour guide team of the city and also a huge exercise, aimed to further improve the overall quality of the tour guides, to fully demonstrate the style and features of the city’s tourism and the spirit of those tourism practitioners, and to add luster to this tourist city.
