On November 19th, the 2017 “Betty Cup” Hubei Sports Dancing Open (Yichang Station) and the 12th Yichang Sports Dancing Champions concluded successfully in Yichang Sports Center. More than 4,500 contestants from Hubei province took part in this event, which set up a new record in the number of participants as well as the scale.

　　The stadium was full of constant applause and cheers this weekend. More than 10 groups respectively composed of college professionals, adult amateurs and teenagers competed in turn in the center of professional competition site. Over 4,500 players from about 200 teams performed with more than 10 kinds of dance types, including Latin dance, ballroom dance, which was a fantastic feast to the audiences’ eyes.

　　The competition was divided into team competition and individual competition, adopting the competition procedure of preliminary contests, intermediary heats, semi-finals and finals. In addition, the parent-child dance has come to this contest for the first time.

　　As the official of Yichang Sports Federation in charge said, the municipal sports department has held a series of activities to popularize sports dancing into squares, into parks, into communities and into schools in recent years, thus the sports dancing lovers have spread all over the cities and countryside.
