On November 28th, Zhang Jiasheng, mayor as well as deputy secretary of Yichang, met senior management of operation department from L’oréal, which was headed by its senior vise president Anthony Wangles.
The visiting group has received a warm welcome from Mayor Zhang, who gave a welcome speech on behalf of the municipal Party Committee as well as Yichang government. Zhang said that Yichang has speeded up its construction to become a central city in the middle and upper reaches of Yangtze River and a world-renowned hydroelectric and tourist city in pursuit of green development, industrial transformation and step-over and well-off livelihood. Requirements from the enterprises are what the government claims to do. Being committed to pro-business, respecting businessmen and attaching importance to business development, taking the construction of Yichang FTZ as the start point, Yichang government is trying to offer the lowest cost, highest efficiency and best service to help the enterprises out of trouble. As a leader of global cosmetics industry, L’Oreal has cooperated with Yichang government for a long time and is now enjoying a bright future. They hope the enterprise can continue its green development, increasing its investment in innovation and sharing development opportunities with others so as to achieve a win-win situation.
Anthony Wangles expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the long-time support from Yichang government. According to his remarks, Yichang has been L’Oreal’s only cosmetics production base in Asian-Pacific region. The sound development environment of Yichang has promoted an expansion of production scale and the rising operation benefits. L’oréal is looking forward to a deeper cooperation on constructing a complete downstream production chain so that they can offer better goods and services to customers and benefit the development of local community.
