On November 29th, it is learned that there has been no serious air pollution in Yichang in the third quarter of this year. And the average number of finedays ofthe city is96.5%, an increaseof 6.0%over thesame period oflast year.
In the third quarter, the proportionsof fine daysin the 14 counties and districts of the city range from 92.3% to 100%, among which Zigui and Xingshan both enjoy a proportion of 100%, and the ratios go in a descending order forZigui, Xingshan, Wufeng, Zhijiang, WuJiagang, Xiaoting, Dangyang, Gaoxin, Yiling, Yidu, Dianjun, Changyang, Xilingand Yuan'an.
Compared withthe same period of last year, among the six major air pollutants, PM10, PM2.5, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide have obviously decreasedwhile the average concentrationsof carbon monoxide and ozone remainunchanged. The average concentrationsof PM10 and PM2.5 in the city are45ug per cubic meterand 24ug per cubic meter, a decreaseby 19.6% and 29.4% respectively. And the average concentrationsof sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide in the city are12ug per cubic meter and 19ug per cubic meter, a drop by 14.3% and 13.6% respectively.
According to the data provided by the Municipal Meteorological Observatory, the atmospheric diffusion conditionsin the third quarter areunfavorable compared with thatlast year.
