　　Earlier this month, the exit and entry management branch of the Municipal Public Security Bureau had set up self-service cameras, self-service filling machine, self-service endorsement machine and self-service payment machine in the area comprehensive service hall, which had changed the artificial service to the whole self-service and shorten significantly the time for citizen to get go abroad or exit certificates. Recently, Liu Shaojun originally planned to apply for passport and Hong Kong and Macao Pass within the morning. He didn’t expect an easy process that was to fill in a form, take pictures without queuing, and pay the fees by Alipay and no photocopying. However, after finishing his passes for free in ten minutes, he exclaimed “How convenient it is. It is rocket speed”.

　　Citizens are about to get more surprises just as the slogan says “No fastest, but faster”. Li Zufen, a police officer at the public security exit and entry window, said: “Citizens currently need to handle business on three pieces of self-service equipment. In the near future, we will optimize system to achieve integration of filling in a form, photographing and printing functions and meet all requirements with less equipment.”

　　The process is continuously optimized with more convenient service. It is known that after the upgrade of the system, citizens only need to swipe their ID card in the designated area to automatically extract the identity information and photo such as the name of applicants, gender, ID number and home address, and then, according to the corresponding business selected by the applicant, the self-service equipment will generate and print application forms with photos and specifications. After accepted at the exit and entry window, citizens can achieve self-service payment by WeChat, Alipay and bank card, which only takes 5 minutes to complete the entire application process.

　　Citizens of Yichang city with ID card and citizens from other provinces or other cities of Hubei Province with ID card or residence permit can apply for going abroad or exit certificates at the exit and entry window. Compared with those outside the area, citizens can enjoy the full green channel at the exit and entry window. There is no need to submit the expedited application and it will take 5 working days to complete the examination and approval by expedited processing. In addition, the window also in particular streamlines the formalities for four types of high-level foreign talents, aiming at providing the best service in the whole province and even the whole country.

　　At present, the regular daily volume at the exit and entry window is about 40 people while at the peak it reaches 120. Li Dahong, the deputy detachment of the exit and entry management branch of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, said that self-service equipment had greatly shorten the time of accreditation and improved its efficiency, which was both convenient to citizens and our staffs. It is hoped that more citizens will apply for the certificates at the entry and exit window of the area to test the reform effects.
