On Dec. 14th, the reporter learned from the Provincial Department of Culture that the list of the first batch Hubei Province’s “Characteristic Cultural Villages” was announced. There are 30 administrative villages, including 7 in Shiyan, 6 in Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Enshi, 5 in Yichang, 3 in Huanggang, 3 in Xianning, 2 in Xiangyang, 2 in Xiaogan, 1 in Huangshi and 1 in Shennongjia Forest Region.

　　Yichang’s “Characteristic Cultural Villages” are: Jiandong Village of Maoping Town in Zigui County, Yangjiaqiao Village of Ziqiu Town in Changyang Tujia nationality Autonomous County, Liziping Village of Caihua Town in Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, Pingshui Village of Gutian Town in Xingshan County and Guangping Village of Leizu Town in Yuanan County.
