(Reporter: Jie Xingwei; Correspondent: Fang Suzhen) On December 12th, a modern fishery breeding base construction project undertaken by the Municipal Aquatic Technology Promotion Station was checked and accepted in Yichang.

　　The breeding base covers an area of 25 acres, equipped with high-standard factory seeding plants of 2,000 square meters, food breeding ponds of 600 square meters, and outdoor breeding ponds of 6,000 square meters. It will fully exert its effects in scientific research and experimental demonstration by collecting and domesticating various kinds of rare and special fish species in the Yangtze River and it has a capacity to cultivate 20 million spec fries of special fishes. This project has filled the blank of seedless breeding test base of the Municipal Aquatic Technology Promotion Station and it will play an exemplary role in the research and promotion of new fish species, new models and new technologies.
