Yichang Exchange of E-commerce Industry Convened

  On December 19th, Yichang Exchange of E-commerce Industry was held, focusing on the showcase of the achievements of e-commerce in 2017. The Standing Committee Member of Yichang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Vice Mayor Liu Weiling and Vice Mayor Zhou Zhengying attended the conference.

  Themed “Connecting Industries • Networking Yichang”, the exchange was sponsored by the leading group of Yichang E-commerce Development with the support of Yichang Bureau of Commerce, Yichang Office for Talents, Yichang Committee of Chinese Communist Youth League and Yichang Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development. Representatives from the “E-commerce Demonstration County (City)” Zhijiang, the “E-commerce Demonstration Base” Yiling District E-commerce Mall, the “E-commerce Demonstration Enterprise” Qugu Food as well as e-commerce leaders from industry, agriculture, commerce, tourism shared their experiences.

  Starting this year, with the support of Yichang Municipal Committee of CPC and Yichang government, the main body of the e-commerce market has been growing rapidly, e-commerce application going into depth, rural e-commerce accelerating and online trading increasing. The adoption rate of e-commerce in industrial enterprises above the designated size is 90% in the whole city. Key enterprises of national and provincial agriculture industrialization are able to conduct 100% of their business online, and city-level key leading enterprises of agriculture industrialization are able to conduct 42% of their business online. The adoption rate of e-commerce in key tourism enterprises and business enterprises above the designated size are able to conduct 100% of their business online. In Yichang, there are 7,337 e-commerce enterprises, 10,266 websites or online stores and over 50,000 e-commerce employees. It is predicted that the turnover of e-commerce will reach 120 billion yuan for the entire year, Yichang’s comprehensive strength in e-commerce ranks second in Hubei province.
