　　On December 24th, the reporter learned from the DMV that the new energy vehicle plate, with a special logo on it and green as the dominant color, embodies the meaning of “Green Environmental Protection”. Furthermore, new anti-counterfeiting technology has been applied in its manufacturing process. In addition, the background color of the plates for small vehicles is gradually changing green, while a combination of yellow and green is used for large vehicles.

　　Compared with ordinary vehicle plates, the new energy plate has one more number (from 5 to 6), which can meet the layout needs of “using less letters but more numbers”. The letter “D” in the plate represents battery electric vehicles (BEV); the letter “F” represents non-pure battery electric vehicles (including plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles, etc.); and the symbol“!” stands for the Arabic numerals from 0 to 9.

　　Each pair of new energy vehicle plates will be charged 50 yuan, exactly the same amount of money as that of a pair of ordinary vehicle plates.

　　The number of new plates is big, so applicants do not need to “fight for plate numbers”.

　　Yichang will first put into use 130,000 vehicle plates, with all of them distributed through the national number selection system, randomly arranged in the plate number bank, and open to the public. Plate number coding rules are more scientific and reasonable. The number of plates is big, so people do not need to “fight for the number.”

　　Two ways to select numbers

　　After the registration and inspection of new energy vehicles, there are two approaches to select numbers: one is to randomly select the number of plates via the public security network of the DMV of Traffic Police Detachment of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, following the random principle of choosing “one among 50”; the other approach is through the Internet Traffic Safety Service Management Platform of Hubei Provincial Public Security and Traffic Management Bureau, following the rule of “being arranged on their own” mode to select the number. The public can also use the “traffic management 12123” mobile phone APP to select the number; these numbers are sharing numbers from the number bank at the Internet Traffic Safety Service Management Platform.

　　The first pilot project of number-choosing for new energy vehicles in our city can be selected from the public security web and the Internet.

F; 20,000 plates for small new energy battery electric vehicles, such as鄂ED1 !!!!, 鄂ED2 !!!!, will be launched for the first time; 20,000 plates for small new energy non-pure battery electric vehicles, such as鄂EF1 !!!!, 鄂EF2 !!!!, will also be released.

D, will be provided for the public to choose; the first 10,000 plates of large new energy non-pure battery electric vehicles, namely, 鄂 E3 !!!! F, will be put into use; 20,000 plates for small new energy battery electric vehicles, such as鄂ED3!!!!、鄂ED4!!!!, will be launched for the first time; 10,000 plates for small new energy non-pure battery electric vehicles, namely, EF3!!!!, will also be put into use.
