The Three Gorges Immigration Museum to be Located in Zigui, Hubei Province

  On December 22th, Yichang Immigration Office held the press conference on "implementing the Three Gorges follow-on work plan and promoting economic and social development in the Three Gorges reservoir area", detailing general follow-on work, the implementation of the approved projects and the main achievements of these projects.

  It is understood that during the years between 2011 and 2017, the Three Gorges Office of the State Council and the Ministry of Finance have approved 426 Three Gorges fellow-on projects with a total investment of 16.35 billion yuan and allocated a special fund of 5.46 billion yuan. So far, 425 of the 426 projects have started operation, the operating rate being 9.8%, and 243 of the 260 completed projects have been checked and accepted, the acceptance rate of completed projects being 93.5%. 4.38 billion yuan has been allocated, accounting for 80.2% of the special fund. The operating rate, the fund appropriation rate of the projects and the acceptance rate of the completed projects in the whole city have all exceeded provincial targets.

  In 2018, 54 Three Gorges fellow-on projects have been approved by the provincial fellow-on office and an annual special fund of 1.2 billion yuan has been applied for. Six projects have passed compliance review of the Three Gorges Office of the State Council, namely the road project connecting Jingangcheng and Quxi, the project of creating overall tourism landscape in Zigui, the construction project of a people’s hospital at Jingangcheng(the clinic multi-use building excluded) in Zigui, the comprehensive ecological improvement project at the water front and riparian zone of Shendu river in the Xiangxi river basin, the infrastructure project of in Dongcheng district in Xingshan county and the infrastructure project of the Three Gorges Immigration and Entrepreneurship Park. The funds of each project are respectively 114.45 million yuan, 114.22 million yuan, and 120 million yuan. 111.98 million yuan, 70.95 million yuan and 35.29million yuan(special fund). Meanwhile, the provincial government has agreed to invest 120 million yuan to build the Three Gorges Museum in Zigui.
