At 11：30, January 5th, an ambulance with a patient was held up in the traffic jam in the tunnel of a highway from Yichang to Badong in Enshi prefecture. Four policemen, after realizing what had happened, carried out a rescue battle by smoothing the 2-kilometer-urgent life channel in 11 minutes.

　　At around 10:00 on January 5th, Yichang-Badong highway was allowed to transport after three days of snowing storm. Many cars flew to the highway once the Xingshan toll recovered.

　　At 11:30, a traffic jam in the tunnel of Wofo Mountain happened amid a high vehicle flow rate. Upon hearing the siren from the ambulance, Li Xin, Du Xinming, the two patrolmen from provincial highway police hurried off the car to have a look, only to find an ambulance jammed in the tunnel within distance.

　　After inquiry, Li Xun learned that a forty-nine-year-old patient with traumatic head injury was being transferred to the hospital in Yichang from Xingshan to receive an operation. Unfortunately, they happened to meet up with the traffic jam in the tunnel. Knowing this, Li Xun hurried to smooth the vehicles in the tunnel while Du Xinming tried to smooth the vehicles in front of the tunnel.

　　At the mouth of the tunnel, Du Xinming happened to meet policemen Yang Wei and Yao Jun, who were dispersing traffic at the moment. Knowing what had happened, Yang Wei and Yao Jun speeded up their steps to dispersewhile guiding the cars to avoid the ambulance; they tried to alert others. As the overtaking lane and carriageway were choked, the policemen guided the ambulance pass through from the emergency vehicle lane.

　　At 11:41, through great efforts by police working with other divers, the four policemen smoothed the jammed path within 11 minutes, thus helping the ambulance to pass through the tunnel successfully.
