Crane safety protection devices made by Yichang Wtau Electronic Equipment Co., Ltd. (WTAU) have been used in many “Big Mac” projects, such as high-speed trains and offshore wells, and Bangladesh's largest infrastructure project "Dream Bridge" etc. It’s learned that WTAU has participated in the drafting of four related national standards on cranes and has more than 110 independent intellectual property rights, which have won great bargaining counter for the company to seize the initiative in the market.
Gao Yumin, deputy general manager of WTAU, told reporters that they had been spending 7% of their annual sales on research and development, had built up a research and development team of over 20 professionals and had been cooperating technically with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, Zhongnan Engineering Corporation Limited and others to guarantee industry-leading technological strength and enhanced competitiveness. In the future, WTAU would focus on The Internet of Things of cranes and make substantial progress in big data management, entire-life monitoring services and intelligent lifting ecosystems of cranes to provide more valuable technology and service for customers.
Yichang ChangJiang Machine and Technology Co.ltd., by learning from international standards and having a say in drafting standards, has grown into Asia’s largest research and development base for gear shaping machines and gear milling machines. It has taken 70% of the domestic market and has lay down or participated in laying down 23 national industry standards. The drafted industry standard for fine-pitch gear shapers was formally issued and implemented on October 1st last year. The minimum processing diameter of its knock-out products, the high-precision computer numerical control (CNC) fine-pitch gear shaper, is 0.15 millimeters and the accuracy is 5, reaching international advanced level. These high-precision and small module gears have been widely used in intelligent robots, aerospace projects and other high-precision projects. So far, the product has received more than 30 orders with the contract value amounting to more than 20 million yuan.
