Recently, the State Forestry Administration issued a circular and announced the acceptance of 84 pilot national wetland parks throughout the country. Qinglong Lake Wetland Park was officially named "national wetland park." At this point, the number of national level wetland parks in Yichang increased to 9.

　　Qinglong Lake National Wetland Park is located in Miaoqian town, Dangyang city, with a total area of 680.30 hectares. The wetland park, rich in wildlife resources such as birds, fish, and hydrophytes and so on, possesses 175 species of animals and 375 species of plants. The main part of Qinglong Lake National Wetland Park——Gonghe reservoir, is an important drinking water source in Dangyang city. (Reporter: Wang Ying)
