On January 18th, Zhuoyue Plaza in the downtown of Yichang City is crowded with many people. The 2018 Yichang “Employment Assistance Month” (Xiling Station) is held here. The event is hosted by the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Municipal Disabled People’s Federation and Xiling District People’s Government, and organized by Municipal Labor and Employment Bureau, District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and other organizations.

　　At the information desk of Xiling District Disabled People’s Federation, Zhang Huakui is consulting the staff. He told reporters that today he wants to find a job for his 48-year-old wife. Due to the old age and poor listening, she has not found a suitable job. After the staff got to know the details about his wife, they told him to go to the information desk of GOME Company to consult. There is a position for a cleaner with wages, benefits as well as Insurance and Housing Fund, which is fit for his wife. Zhang Huakui listens to the introduction, meanwhile keeping nodding.

　　Sun Jinjin, the deputy director of Municipal Labor and Employment Bureau introduces to the reporters that there are many “highlights” in this job fair. Firstly, many large enterprises in the city come to recruit. For instance, Yichang Branch of Guangzhou Automobile Group has hired 500 technical workers. Angel Yeast Co., Ltd, Xingfa Chemicals Group Co., Ltd and other large enterprises are also at present. Secondly, recruitment and employment assistance activities are carried out at the same time. There are quite a number of jobs for the handicapped. For the handicapped with employment intentions, they are asked to sign a Letter of Commitment for Pair Assistance. They can obtain support and guidance in terms of working skills and job information, thus their employability and entrepreneurial ability can be improved. Thirdly, there are also some suitable jobs for applicants of senior people, not only for the forties and the fifties, but also for the sixties. Fourthly, there are many positions for college students who lack of professional experience, and many organizations will recruit college students as reserve personnel for talents and cadres.

　　Sun Jinjin also points out that in addition to the job fair held on January 18th, there is also a job fair of Employment Assistance Month in Wanda Plaza. A total of 185 organizations have participated in the two job fairs, offering 5,923 employment positions. Besides, from January 25th to31st, eight job fairs will be held in the Wufeng County, Zigui County and so on.
