On January 31st, the reporter learned that from February 1st, the whole city has launched 16 Spring Festival service stations, putting strictly into practice the service time of “24 hours for first level stations, 12 hours for second levels station and 8 hours for third level stations. “Two coaches and one danger”(coaches operates between prefectures or a prefecture city and a county in the prefecture or non-adjacent counties) and vehicles carrying inflammables and explosives) must be checked strictly and recorded. Besides, early-warning should be carried out strictly. All service stations must set up an "integrated command platform of public security and transport authorities" during working hours. All warned vehicles should be 100% checked and registered, and illegal behaviors must be punished and recorded on the platform.

　　According to related officers of city traffic police detachment, this year's Spring Festival transportation has combined with the special provincial and municipal campaigns of safe production and crackdown on violations. It focus on "six vehicles and six people"(two coaches and one danger ", vans with 7 seats or more, tricycles, medium and heavy trucks and other vehicles and drivers). Strict measures have been implemented in terms of source prevention of hidden dangers, road surface prevention and control, publicity and education and coordinated treatment to avoid serious and terrible traffic accidents, long-time and long-distance traffic congestion caused by management reasons and serious enforcement problems. The number of major road traffic accidents has dropped from the same period last year.

　　Temporary checkpoints have been set up at highway entrances and at the top of slopes over 3 km, and the service hours of temporary checkpoints shall not be less than 8 hours per day. Reminding, inspection and photo-taking have been carried out on non-local vehicles, medium and heavy trucks and passenger vehicles with 7 seats or more.

　　During the Spring Festival, 368 road leaders of this city are on duty. They have erected at every village entrance a road sign with the phone number of the road leader. They patrol rural roads more than twice per day and check every vehicle entering and leaving the village to firmly prohibit overloaded minivans and illegal three-wheeled motorcycles. Besides, they persuade no less than five traffic violations every day. Rural weddings and funerals usually concentrate during the Spring Festival, therefore, road leaders must strengthen registration and door-to-door warning of traffic safety.
