(Correspondent: Li Ming) On February 6th, good news came from Yichang CPF (central provident fund) Center that the new generation of CPF business information system core business will be formally launched on February 8th. It’s reported that when the new system is put into practice, citizens in Yichang will be able to conduct the CPF businesses either in counties or in towns and pay for loans monthly in both counties and towns.
The new system allows a ratio of nearly 95% of CPF businesses to be conducted online. As a result, citizens are able to manage their businesses at home. Businesses like opening an account, sealing up accounts or breaking the seal, transfer of individual accounts, information modification, cardinal number adjustment, proportion adjustment, remittance and payment can be finished in any of the business departments of the centers. Except from individual provident fund loan business that must be made in the business department of the purchase place, others like checking personal provident fund information, personal information modification, proof of individual deposit printing, extraction of provident fund, making an appointment for loan, signing up of the entrusted agreements to pay for loans can be done in any business department of the centers around the city.
When the new systemis put into practice, the operation of CPF co-branded card will be closed while its functions will be incorporated into the citizen card. The depositor can check his / her provident fund and handle the business through the service channels provided by the center. In such a way one card will be equipped with multi-applications. The scope of entrusted agreement business to pay for loans with the extracted fund will also be extended from the centers in urban area of Yichang (excluding the Three Gorges sub-center and Gezhouba sub-center) to which that located in both the counties and towns.Depositors who have handled the provident fund loans in the counties can sign up an entrusted agreement to pay for loans monthly with provident fund with any sales department.
