On February 9th, BYD Company Limited (hereinafter referred to asBYD) signed a cooperation agreement with Yichang government. The company wouldbuild straddle-type rail transit with no less than 100 kilometers in Yichang and invest ina rail transit industrial park with a total annual output value of 10 billion yuan. ZhouJi,secretary ofYichangMunicipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, attended the signing ceremony and delivered a speech. ZhangJiasheng, deputysecretary ofYichangMunicipal Committee of the Communist Party of ChinaandmayorofYichang, and Wang Chuanfu, chairman of the board and president of BYD, signed the contract on behalf of both parties.

　　Zhou Ji welcomed Wang Chuanfu and his delegationand expressed his appreciation for the achievements made by BYD. He said that BYD, byadheringto the principleof technologyand innovationfirst and actively catchingup with the national trend and the development of the world, brought green and low-carbon travel to more than 200 cities in more than 50 countries and regions around the world. While leading the development of private enterprises, it epitomizedour nation’sfour matters of confidence (confidence in path, guiding theories, political system and culture). Yichang, the gateway to the three gorges as well as the strategic passage between Chongqing and Hubei, is an important distribution center radiatingcentral China andconnecting the easternand westernareas. Seizing the opportunity of constructing the Yangtze River economic belt, it is promoting the development of advanced equipment manufacturing, cultural tourism and other industries, making overall arrangements for multi-dimensional space utilization, striving to improve transportation infrastructureand accelerating itsconstruction of the regional central city in the middle and upper reaches of Yangtze River and world renowned city of water and electricity-oriented tourism so as to provide a broad stage for bilateral cooperation. He hopedthat BYD wouldmake Yichang an important point initsindustrial layout and constantly magnify the results of bilateral cooperation so as to benefit more people.

　　Wang Chuanfu said that after two months’ study tour in BYD led bySecretary Zhou Ji, the two sides were willing to conductall-round cooperation and signed a cooperation agreement.This displayed the efficient and pragmatic style of work and business idea of “a close relationship with investors, a relaxed environment for investors”of CPCYichang Municipal Committee and the municipal government, which strengthened BYD’s confidence to cooperate with Yichang government. Starting from themedium volume market, the two sides would make joint efforts to build a rail transit industrial parkand vigorously develop the smart manufacturing industry. The two sides wouldenjoy broad prospectsofcooperation. BYDwouldcherish the opportunityto cooperate with Yichangand promote complementtoeach other's advantages and win-win cooperation, contributing tothe construction of abeautiful Yichang and a better life for more people.

　　According to the agreement, the company will use Sky Railtechnologies and products to construct straddle-type rail transit with no less than 100 kilometers in Yichang. At the first period, it will construct anurban rail test line of 10 km in suitable road sectionsin the main urban area and a tourism track line of 39 km in appropriate tourism areas. At the same time, BYD will also invest in a rail transit industrial park to produce railway vehicles, rail beamsand related core components. The total investment of the project is estimated to be 1.5 billion yuan and the total annual output value of the project is over 10 billion yuan.

　　It is understood that SkyRailwas first launched in 2016 with a fully independent intellectual property rightsof urban monorail train. Taking BYD5 years and costingmore than 50 million yuan, Sky Railwas characterized by low cost, short construction period, good look andnon-taking up of urban road space.It not only can be used as the connecting line of the main roadsof the cityandthe connecting line between the center and the second center of the city, but also can be used as the artery to connectschools, hospitals, housing estatesand other urban functional areas. Moreover,it can alsoserveas a tourist line in scenic spots.
