On February 6, 11 people from Beidike Lingyun (Yichang) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. including Jiayu Qing, the chief engineer of Boeing Aircraft, completed their first aircraft maintenance overseas and returned to Yichang from Cambodia. It is the company’ssecond cooperation with Lancang-Mekong Airlines since the maintenance introduction of Cambodia Lancang-Mekong Airlines Airbus A321 aircraft to Xiaoting in January this year.
“Because part of the supporting materials isout of stock inland, in order to maximize the interests of our customers, the company decides to send its staff to Cambodia to carry out maintenance tasks.”On February 8, the reporter interviewed Jia Yuqing at the company, and learned the details of the overseas aircraft maintenance.
The maintenance this time included the installation of additional seats and PSU (passenger service units) for Airbus A319 models, the rearrangement of seats and PSU sequences, etc. Since Lancang-Mekong Airlines demanded the normal take-off of the aircraft the next day, the maintenance crew arrived at Sihanouk Airport at 5 p.m. on February 2, putting themin stressful work immediately without a rest.
“To lay out seats sounds simple, but it’s no easy thing to do.”said Jia Yuqing, “After the seat adjustment, the air vents, oxygen masks, reading lamps and other supporting facilities are also required to be adjusted accordingly.”At 2 o’clock in the morning of February 3, the maintenance work ended smoothly through the cooperation of the technicians. Then, the plane took off successfully from Sihanouk Airport.
It is understood that since January this year, Beidike Lingyun Companyin Yichang has successfully carried out 1C inspection, paint spraying, bridge inspection and other maintenance services respectively to 3 aircraft from Lancang-Mekong Airlines. It shows that Beidike Lingyun Yichang Company has taken a solid step to the overseas market for civil aircraft maintenance as well as to the broad international stage.
So far, Beidike Lingyun (Yichang) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. has carried out the inspection at all levels to more than 100 aircraft of the Boeing 737, Airbus A320, Embraer EMB145, Xinzhou 60 and other models, achieving a great leapforward in its maintenance capacity, and has laid a good foundation for the construction of the local navigation industry and for the development of the local airborne economy.
