2018-03-07 16:44:03

According to the Yichangdong Railway Station on February 26, the passenger sliding flow after the Spring Festival began to rise up again due to the heavy fog since the early morning of that day in Yichang, Enshi, Jingmen and other areas in Hubei., which made the air visibility less than 500 meters on some sections of roads such as HanYi Expressway, LiWan Expressway, Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu Expressway and State Road 318, affected the traffic on these roads at some degree, and compelled a large number of passengers swarming to Yichangdong Enshi, Lichuan and Jianshi Railway Station along the Yiwan Railway. In this regard, Yichang Depot of China Railway Wuhan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has taken a number of measures to facilitate the travel of tourists in southwest Hubei.

It’s reported that, in response to this sudden passenger flow caused by heavy fog, after completing the organization work of transportation such as passenger guiding, ticketing and waiting, the railway departments have strengthened weather forecast, kept learning about the weather changes and road traffic conditions, and informed passengers timely about the train departure information through the media, station announcements, electronic display, radio, etc.

Railway stations in Southwest Hubei have continuously set up a special waiting area for the key passengers, opened green channel on train station and learn-from-Lei Feng volunteer service post, and strengthened the inspection of key sections in the station. Beside accepting ticket reservation through the 12306 app and public phones in station, the staffs have also guided travelers for the self-serving inquiry and self-service ticketing, and recommend them the appropriate travel routes and trips.

On February 26, Yichangdong Railway Station has sent 33 extra-trains including the inter-provincial express and HanYi bullet trains with the transport capacity increased over 20,000 tickets, passenger flow reaching above 92,000 again---an increase of 8.1% from the previous year. On that day, Yichangdong Railway Station has sent 507,500 passengers, which was up 16.7% from a year ago. Now, all tickets for the coming days have nearly been sold out except those for Guangzhou and Wuhan. (Correspondent Chen Ying, reporter Xiao Min)
