The reporter learned from Yichang Agriculture Bureau that Farmers' Daily has released the 2018 List of Top 300 Farmer Cooperatives, of which 4 are in Yichang. Among them, Xiaoxihong Citrus in Yichang ranks fifth and Wacang Rice in Yuan’an county, Zhongying Medicinal Materials Plantation in Yichang and Xinda Agriculture in Zhijiang rank 16th, 205th and 278th respectively.

　　It is reported that in order to learn in a comprehensive way the development of all kinds of cooperatives, Farmers’ Daily organized experts to collect, sort out large amounts of data and carry out research projects, producing the 2018 List of Top 300 Farmer Cooperatives. This ranking of specialized farmer cooperatives was mainly based on revenue, profit and the number of households in 2016 with each of them accounting for 60%，30% and 10% respectively. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to analyze the data and generate the ranking results. A total of 23 provinces and cities nationwide were included in the ranking.
