Season part of Tastes of China, the documentary onCCTV International’s Chinese Channel at 10:00 p.m. during prime time, introduced Zigui navel orange–peach for 8 minutes on Feb. 28.
A taste of China isthe first large–scaledocumentary to reflect the theme of the geographical indications of agricultural products in China. The program team selected 30 kinds of the most representative geographical indications of products from 2242 kinds of geographical indications of agricultural products in the whole country, exploring the taste with “source” and explaining the source with “taste” to present Chinese good ingredients.
It is reported that the Zigui navel orange–peach, registered for protection by the geographical indications of agricultural products of Ministry of Agriculture in 2008, was one of the earliest registeredagricultural products for protection by the Ministry of Agriculture. In recent years, our city has vigorously strengthened the creation of “three products and one indication” agricultural products brand, to chart the course for green development and promote the agricultural productivity, farmer’s income and the improvement of ecological environment. At present, there are a total of 270 enterprisesofthe effective use of the “three products and one indication” and 516 brandsin the city, with the total scale in the forefront of the province.
