On March 11th, the reporter learned that the spring semester of University for the Elderly in Yichang had opened on 5th, and there are a small number of quotas for students in some classes. Citizens can enroll on site with carry their ID cards.

　　The University for the Elderly has all together 50 classes in 32 majors of the six departments for the spring semester, namely calligraphy, painting, dancing, music, culture, health preservation and skills. On the first day, nearly 1,900 students attended their first class. The first day of school was also the day to register. And on-site registration was very hot with the classes of flower and bird painting, cucurbit flute, electronic organ, calligraphy, yoga, English and piano all full. If there were still elderly citizens who wanted to open another class, there should be at least 10 of them. At present, tea art, gardening, vocal music, decorative painting and other classes still have a small number of quotas for students.
