According to Xinhua News Agency, Wuhan, March 12 (Reporter: Xu Haibo), Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission and other departments jointly issued the annual evaluation results of the whole province’s ecological civilization construction in 2016. For the first time, a public ranking of the green development index and public satisfaction of Hubei cities, states, provincial direct cities and forestry districts was released.

　　According to the Green Development Index System of Hubei Province and the Assessment Target System of Hubei's Ecological Civilization Construction issued by Hubei Province last year, a comprehensive index method to measure the green development indicators was put forward. Shennongjia forestry district is outstanding in green development, and it ranks the first in four items, including resource utilization index, environmental quality index, ecological protection index and public satisfaction; Yichang, Shiyan and Wuhan are the top three of the green development index; Jingmen, Yichang and Xiaogan have the greatest strengthen of environmental governance, while Wuhan, Yichang and Xiangyang have the best growth quality.
