On March 13th, reporters learned from the Yichang Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development that 126 of the 214 projects under construction in our city had resumed construction after safety inspections. The key projects under construction in the urban areas started one after another and the projects of the Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge and the urban sludge drying project were in full-scale construction. All this shows that work in the housing and urban-rural development sector progresses steadily.

　　It is known that the government will speed up resumption and construction of key projects, including Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge,No.2 Xiling Road, Gangyao Road, sludge drying and others, for early operation. For the target task of rebuilding 14574 slum households (7000 of them are in urban areas), related departments will make sure "30% start construction in the first quarter, 70% in the second quarter and 100% before the end of October”. The government will further improve the pilot work plan of rebuilding old residential areas with the focus on completing the renovation of 16 pilot communitiesand thusprovide replicable and promotional experience for the renovation of old residential areas in the whole country. At the same time, housing security level will be gradually improved as the proportion of municipal government-invested public rental housing reaches 90% or more and rental subsidy is paid to 2158 households.
