Constructors are stepping up the construction of public toilets and other supporting facilities on Mar. 15 at the central square of Moji Mountain Park.

　　According to the officials from Yichang Bureau of Landscape and Forestry, the central square of Moji Mountain is one of the four new garden projects this year. There are six garden construction projects in urban area this year plus two continued construction parks, with the implement construction area of 1 million square meters. The new reconstruction of park green areas and conservation and restoration of mountain area will reach about 100 hectares and 3 million square meters respectively.

　　Protect and preserve the mountains, Return green to mountains and people

　　In accordance with Yichang Urban Ecological Restoration Implementation Plan, Yichang will strive for the conservation and restoration of mountain area of 3 million square meters and establish a management model for mountain building and managing in 2018. According to the ideas of “three unities, two divisions” (Unified planning of the mountain, Unified clearing obstacles for sealing the mountain, unified technical indicators, replanting by divided departments, conserved by divided departments), Yichang will vigorously implement ecological restoration for preserving the mountains urban area and responsibility system of management and protection to achieve a mountain, a policy, and an entity, so as to ensure the implementation of restoration plan for the mountains, eliminate city’s green scars, and return green to mountains and people.

　　Pruning demonstration roads round off the gardens

　　The department of Yichang Bureau of Landscape and Forestry focus the management of parks and squares in detail, aiming to promote the landscape of parks and squares, regulate the pruning of street trees in urban areas with the plan of building three to six demonstration roads of street trees pruning. The green space management and transfer and follow-up maintenance of new parks should be done to ensure the continuity.

　　We will establish the standard of environmental health, plant protection, security precaution, and other delicacy management in the range of municipal parks, to maintain management of park green space at a high level. We should do a good job in supplementing and maintaining the establishment of public service advertisements. Besides, we will strengthen the education of civilized behaviors of citizens and tourists and promptly persuade them to stop the uncivilized behavior and encourage employees and citizens to be civilized citizens.

　　Start six park projects, Build beautiful landscapes

　　Six park projects will start construction this year, among which the Moji Mountain and Qiuyutai Park are the continued projects. We will speed up the four new projects, including rapid transformation of landscape engineering of Yiqiao Road, river regulation of Lianpenghe River and landscape engineering of Binhe River, Songlin Park, and the central square of Moji Mountain. On the basis of the overall deployment of the city, the construction of the major park will be set up timely, so as to promote the preliminary work of Juanqiaohe Wetland Park.

　　We will strengthen the park water quality control; establish the patrol management system of park water and emergency disposal mechanism. We will step up our efforts on the cleaning of debris on the river surface, including the Canal, Bailinhe Park and Huangbaihe River, so as to keep the water clean. We will make full efforts to promote river regulation of Lianpeng River and landscape engineering construction of Binhe River, thus building a beautiful gateway landscape on the south of the city.
