On March 19th, Tencent Vice President Ding Ke came to Yichang for work inspection and had a panel discussion with the Municipal Party Secretary Zhou Ji. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in areas such as intelligent medical treatment, artificial intelligence and wise travelling.

　　Zhou Ji welcomed Ding Ke and his party to visit Yichang and also introduced the economic and social development of Yichang. He said, as a provincial sub-center city supported by the provincial party committee and provincial government, Yichang lies in an important strategic location which links the eastern and western regions and promotes cultural exchanges between the north and the south. It is known as the portal of the Three Gorges and the throat of Sichuan and Hubei. It is also an important logistics, information flow distribution place radiating the central areas, connecting the east and west. Over the years, Yichang has attached great importance to the application of modern information technology and network resources, vigorously promoting smart city management, intelligent medical care, wise travelling, etc. Yichang has a good foundation for the development of a new generation of information industry. Tencent is the world's leading Internet company with an international perspective and core technologies, the major business sectors are developing rapidly, especially WeChat, QQ have profoundly changed people’s life style. We hope that both sides could continue to deepen their understanding and seek business opportunities so that we could work together to continue provide services to major national strategies and regional coordinated development.

　　Ding ke briefly introduced the development of Tencent Companyin recent years, and praised the impressive achievements in the building of Yichang as a city of wisdom. He said, in 2009, Yichang municipal party committee and municipal government will deepen cross-departmental sharing of public information across departments, break information "island", steadily promoting the construction of urban public information platforms, especially the city management based on big data, so that we could be well ahead of the nation and lay a solid foundation for our bilateral cooperation. Tencent hoped to deepen the cooperation with Yichang in intelligent medical care, artificial intelligence, wise traveling and jointly build a leading model project in China.
