　　Being different from last year’s, the festival of this year takes the theme of “beautiful papayas, richLangping”. Lasting for two days, the festivalhadtwo parallel sessions separatelyin Guan’ouya and Mapin. And on the opening ceremony of Guan’ouya, which wasthe main meeting-place of this festival, there wereexhibitions for tourism promotions and local agricultural products display.

　　As the only papaya flower exhibition scenic spot and a brand of rural tourism, the Langping papaya flower festival functioned as a link for all the featured villages together to promotethe developmentof the villages. In recent years, based on its unique papaya trees resource, Langpinghas been continuously enlargingits scale of planetaryand optimizingits industrial structure. As a result, the annual production has reached 3500 tons, with a comprehensiveincome of nearly 100 million RMB.
