　　12,000 students from more than 200 schools in Yichang participated in this festival, which was divided into 6 major projects, including model car, model plane, magic cube, electronic production, tangram and robot, for students to compete.At the same time, 4 projects, including technical innovation, scientific and technological creative essay, scientific and technological practice activity and science picture, were reviewed. Besides, there were various activities such as Noip, expert science popularization lecture and youth scientific and technological achievement exhibition.

　　According to introducing, with the longest holding time, the widest range of competition events and the maximum number of participants in the province,the city’s youth science festivalis a big spot brand of the youth quality education in our cityand ithas a position and influence in the whole province and even the whole country. More than 200 schools and nearly 300,000 primary and middle school students have entered the competition every year.Over the past 16 years, more than 30,000 innovation awards have been awarded, more than 4,200 national patents have been applied and more than 500 national and provincial competition awards have been awarded; nearly 300 students have obtained the qualification of college entrance examination and the qualification of college self-enrollment because of winning the technology innovation award at the national level.
