It is informed from Yichang customs that Yichang foreign trade has realized a total volume of 2.36 billion in its exports and imports, rising by 14.2% on year-on-year basis, among which exports account 1.96 billion yuan, an increase of 12.8%, imports account 0.4 billion yuan, a raise of 21.5%.

　　The processing trade presents a strong performance in the export categories with 0.81 billion yuan in exports and imports, rising by 62.8%. That accounts for 34.3% of total volume of exports and imports of Yichang foreign trade, rising by 10 percent compared with that of last year. It is analyzed that the significant raising of processing trade is bolster by the exerting forces of major projects in Yichang, which brings about substantial growth of exports and imports in LCD monitor and its components. Besides, the shipping industry showed overall recovery and shipbuilding industry also did so later. As a result, the exports of Yichang shipping reached 0.1 billion yuan.

　　Besides, the private enterprises figure prominently in the enterprises categories. It has achieved 1.2 billion yuan in its exports and imports, rising by 33.3% and accounting for 50.8% of total volume of exports and imports of Yichang foreign trade. And 0.45 billion yuan have been realized in terms of the exports and imports of Sino-foreign joint venture, rising by 66.4%.

　　As for product export, high value-added products exports have witnessed steady growth. The exports of mechanical and electrical products is 0.56 billion yuan, which is a raise of 97.3%, high-tech products 0.34 billion yuan, a raise of 52.3% and medical products 0.19 billion, a raise of 2.6%. As to the traditional dominant industries, the exports of canned citrus fruits has reached 18.654 million yuan, which is a raise of 24.2% and the green tea 96.98 million yuan, a raise of 22.5 times.

　　ASEAN, USA, EU, South Korea, Japan and Russian Federation have been Yichang’s six biggest trade partners, the total volume of bilateral trade accounting for 68.2% of that of Yichang foreign trade. The total value of exports and imports with "Belt and Road" countries along the route reached 0.96 billion yuan, comprising 40.7% of that of Yichang foreign trade. Of all the partners, the total volume of bilateral trade with Russia has increased by three times and with India 1.2 times.
