(Reporter: Gong Changjun; Correspondent: Zhu Huagong, Rong Tao) On Mar. 27th, Yichang Traffic Police Detachment declared that one-month remediation of dialing, answering and watching mobile phones while driving would be conducted in urban areas comprehensively from now to April 30th, so as to improve the traffic efficiency of motor vehicles and release the pressure of traffic jam in urban areas.

　　Tan Zongping, vice captain of Traffic Police Detachment, introduces that, according to the Guidance on the Identification and Treatment of Road Traffic Illegal Behaviors I, the driver will be identified as an illegal behavior if the he or she is calling, texting, watching videos and operating mobile software with hand-held when driving. From now until March 31 as a publicity and warning period, all Traffic Police Brigades in the urban areas would organize polices to inform and warn the units in the jurisdictions, set up prompt signs on key road junctions and easy-block road sections, and widely publicize through the media. From April 1st, such illegal activities would be imposed a penalty of 50 yuan and 2 points.
