The reporter learns from the news conference of the first Yichang Senior Citizen Body-Building-themed Sports Meeting that gate ball competition for senior citizens, which is the first event of Senior Citizen Body-building Conference, will be opened in Zigui County on Apr. 9. 　　It is known that more than 1,700 senior citizens in the city have formed 16 teams to participate in this sports meeting. The meeting has nine major types containing over 13 events of competition exchange activities, including gate ball, Taiji Rouliqiu, ping-pong, Taijiquan (sword), health Qigong, Square Fitness Dance, fishing, chess or cards (Chinese chess, Weiqi, playing poker game to upgrade, Huapai, Contract Bridge), and health Yangko. It will be held on April, May, June, September and October respectively in Zigui County, Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, Xiaoting District, Yuanan County, Yidu City, Dangyang City, Changyang Tujia Autonomous County, and Yichang Sports Center.
