On March 31st, National Mountaineering Classic (Bailihuang, Yichang)was held in Fenxiang Town, Yiling District, Yichang City and over 200 professional mountaineers and amateurs took part in the event.

　　The mountaineering competition was hosted by China the Mountaineering Associationand the Sports Federation of Hubei Province and organized by the Mountaineering Outdoor Sports Association of Hubei Province and the Sports Association of Yiling District.The courseof the race is 25kmstarting at the field of rape flowers at Nanya Village of Fenxiang Town and ending at the square of Bailihuang Tourist Attraction and includes the men’s competition and the women’s. The competition started at around 10 o'clock, and afterthe clear starting gunshot more than 200 athletes set off to challenge the steep mountains foregrounded by vast fields of rape flowers. Guan Yousheng and Yao Miao from Guizhou Provincewon the men's competition and the women's competitionwith2 hours 27 seconds and 2 hours 27 minutes 18 seconds respectively. He Fujun from Gansu Province and Shen Jiasheng from Yunnan Province won the second and third places of the men's competition respectively and Zhu Bingying from Henan Province and Zhou Lili from Guizhou Province won the second and third places of the women's competitionrespectively.

　　Fenxiang Town where the event was hosted is home toseveral outdoor sports tourismdestinations, such as Dawang Rock, Qingfeng Mountain and BifengCave and so on.
