In April many schools in Yichang are holding study-themed tours for students. The reporter learned that the Study-themed Base of Three Gorges Dam (TGD) has received 33 study-themed tourism teams with over 9,000 members since its first reception on March 22 in 2018.The base will be fully engaged before mid-May, and a number of travel agencies and education and training institutions of other provinces have already started to arrange the summer camp activities with the base.

　　It is learned that the TGD has been devoted to development of a study-themed tourism base, as one of the first national study-themed tourism bases and national top 10 sci-tech tourism bases as well as a national red scenic spot and water education base. In recent years, it has carefully packaged and designed tourism products for primary and secondary school students, youth groups and other social organizations and has successfully organized various types of study-themed tourism activities. At the same time, it cooperates with the neighboring Qu Yuan’s Hometown to launch a study-themed tourism product named of “TGD and Qu Yuan’s Hometown Tour” , which is widely popular among the primary and middle school students as well as parents.

　　The reporters learned that from mid-March to the present, the number of the students taking the TGD tours for themed study accounted for more than half of the total number of the students of the scheduled schools. Many schools indicated that, in addition to the national spirit education value of the TGD, they preferred to the rich and various courses as well as the safe and standardized reception services while taking the TGD as the base for study-themed tours.
