On April 4th, after a series of convenience measures put forward earlier, the Municipal Public Security Bureau re-launched three convenience measures, including self-service of applying ID card, express service of applying ID card for high school and college entrance examination, and ID Card’s off-site application, report of lost and found.

　　Self-service points, with self-service handling and equipment receiving, are established in the Municipal Administration Service Center, the urban police station, and the police station with a population of more than 40,000 residents, which provide ID’s self-service applying, photography and collection around the clock.

　　The students taking high school and college entrance examinations, who apply for ID card within 5-20 days before test, should label “urgent certification of examinee”, then the acceptance unit would accept, verify, sign in 24 hours, and issue in five working days. As to the candidates who live in areas with inconvenient traffic or remote rural areas, may choose to apply with express delivery, but the delivery time is not considered within the time of issuing ID card. For the candidates who lost ID card within 5 daysbefore the high (college) entrance examination, the public security organs shall accept, produce and issue a temporary ID card on the same day.

　　In addition, the Municipal Administration Service Center and the police station are fully open to ID card’s off-site application, report loss and lost and found, which relaxed acceptance conditions and simplified the procedures, so as to convenient for the mass. For those who apply for a temporary ID card, the local public security organsshall accept the application on the same day, and make and issue it to the candidateswithin 24 hours (postponed on holidays).(Reporter: Gong Changjun; Correspondent: Du Lidong)
