It is learned from the railway department on May 6 that from July 5, the maximum fare discount for CRH-trains from Wuhan to Yichang can be 35 percent.

　　At present, the second-class ticket fare for ride between Wuhan (Hankou) and Yichang is 96.5 yuan or 84.5 yuan. It can go down to 62.7 yuan or 54.9 yuan with a discount of 35 percent at the most.

　　It is learned that the railway department will optimize the ticket prizes of CRH-trains operating at speeds between 200 to 250 kilometers per hour on six sections, including that between Wuhan and Yichang. By definitely implementing the policy of published fares as the ceiling prices, those railway-related enterprises, following the changes of passenger-flow, can cut down on the fares in different seasons, at different time intervals, on different sections and according to the class of seat, with the maximum discount rate being 35 percent.

　　Under the discounting policy, the ticket prices along the Wuhan-Yichang section will go down, which will attract more people to travel by train, thus play an important role in promoting tourism development in cities along the line including Yichang.
